We strive for safe, affirming, affordable, high quality housing and continuum of care for GLBT Elders, Friends, & GLBT of any age with physical disabilities, impairments or "at-risk" as defined by our Boards, in greater Houston.

GLIFE-Trust: Mission Statement
We will be the central consolidation point for funds and assets, of multiple forms of donations and financial backing of those wanting to see "GLBT & Friends Mixed Income Elder & Other Housing" in metro Houston. We will both manage these funds and seek to secure other funds, to assure the ongoing success of our purpose. We will continue to expand the "Community Foundation Coalition", which receives these funds.
GLIFE-Services: Mission Statement
We will provide planning, information and advocacy for housing and continuum of care for the GLBT elders, friends, and family of greater Houston.
GLIFE-Project Management: Mission Statement
We will obtain all needed resources to develop "GLBT & Friends Mixed Income Elder & Other Housing" in metro Houston. We will oversee the develop process from inception to fully functional and occupied Community. We will be the main point of contact for all vendors, suppliers, and others wishing to provide services to this project. We will advise & report data to GLIFE-Trust area as requested.

GLIFE-Trust: Scope/Purpose Statement
2.1) Become the central consolidation point for funds and assets, of multiple forms of donations and financial backing of those wanting to see "GLBT & Friends Mixed Income Elder & Other Housing" in metro Houston. (hereafter referred to as "Housing")
2.2) Oversee & administer the "Permanent Endowment" of "Housing" in metro Houston.
2.3) Oversee & administer the "Building Fund" of "Housing" in metro Houston.
2.4) Solicit Funding for "Housing". Complying with U.S.A. laws, funds can be solicited from any source globally.
2.5) Contract and engage "pre-construction" services as needed to accomplish Coalition goals; which include but are not limited to "Feasibility Study", "Financial Modeling", and site selection negotiations .
2.6) Providing information and resources through a Website and Enewsletters regarding "Housing" in metro Houston.
2.7) Build relationships between mutually interested organizations and individuals who want to see “Housing” in metro Houston.
2.8) Locate, select, and contract with various organizations both “non-profit” & “for-profit” which will provide multiple needed services to facilitate “Housing” in metro Houston; and the ongoing Administration of such a community.
2.9) We will provide housing for other GLBT & Friends beyond Elders; specifically for those GLBT & Friends with various diagnosed impairments, such vision, hearing; mobility; and others on a case by case basis where the GLBT & Friends are “at-risk”; as defined by our Boards.

GLIFE-Services: Scope/Purpose Statement
2.1) Educate the community about GLBT elder needs and available resources through media, policy makers, and non-profit organizations.
2.2) Advocate for increased resources and services for GLBT elders.
2.3) Strengthen, evaluate and convene service providers and constituents of greater Houston GLBT elder housing and continuum of care.
2.4) Create and promote standards of care for GLBT housing.
2.5) Present varied models and best practices for GLBT elder housing and continuum of care.
2.6) Providing information and resources through a Website and Enewsletters regarding GLBT elder housing and continuum of care.
2.7) Build relationships between GLBT stakeholders and providers of care.
2.8) Provide gap analysis and best practice awareness to key stakeholders, policy makers, donors, business leaders and other professionals.
2.9) Provide a voice for GLBT elders housing, health and social care needs.
2.10) Co-operate in achieving funding for an affordable GLBT & Friends housing Project.

GLIFE-Project Management: Scope/Purpose Statement
2.1) Obtain all needed resources to develop all needed Financial Models for "GLBT & Friends Mixed Income Elder & Other Housing"; hereafter referred to as "Housing".
2.2) Obtain all needed resources to conduct all needed "due diligence" involved in both development and construction of "Housing".
2.3) Be the point of contact for (GLIFE) of all "housing" related issues in the Vendor & Developer selection process through the actual completion of construction and selection of management staffing.
2.4) Report to GLIFE Trust Board, as they may require for project(s) status, and supply needed staff to answer any questions related to our performance within scope.
2.5) Provide list of recommendations to GLIFE Trust Board in regard to any contracts related to any stage of planning, construction and management of project(s).
2.6) Draft brief "Bullet Item" Qtrly. Status report for GLIFE Trust Board , to release to all Legal Representatives of the supporting Foundations, Trusts, Financial Backers, Donors with wills on record naming GLIFE Trust/related entities as beneficiary, and other financial participants, including but not limited to non-profits, for-profits, and any others who are at minimum on Trust list as "Observers".
2.7) Provide any other services as may be requested by GLIFE Trust to assure the timely completion of both planning and construction phases thru occupancy
